The Bronzeville Lakefront mixed-use development will build on this heritage. Designed hand-in-hand with the community around us, we and our partners at GRIT (Global Research Innovation Technology) will transform a largely vacant 50+ acre site into a multicultural and inclusive epicenter of innovation. The redevelopment of the former Michael Reese Hospital site will serve as a global hub for innovation and wellness. The project aims to help shape the community landscape, establishing a model for wellness that promotes health for people, the neighborhood, and the planet.
